We have released Palm webOS 1.1 and your phones will be asking you to install the update. You can get more info about the update from our press release and from the list of new features.
This release brings the phone’s OS version in sync with the SDK, which will simplify device testing.

I really like the phone and the updates…but when is there going to be a fix to set you message alerts to whatever you want? I use my Pre for all my work related activities so I also get pages on my Pre. These come in as a text and the default double chirp is not exactly loud enough to wake you at 2:00am. If we had the ability to change the tones (like we can for the ringtones) this wouldn’t be an issue.
If anyone knows when this will be addressed I would love to know. I saw there was a homebrewed app that gives the ablity, but it sounded a little buggy.
