By now, you’re probably familiar with the series of webOS workshops and webOS CONNECT developer events we’ve been hosting around the world. They’ve been incredibly popular and we’ve had awesome turnout everywhere we’ve been. But lots of developers have been asking, “When are you headed to my city?” You asked for more events – and we’ve got them.

We’re hosting webOS workshops and webOS CONNECT events in the following cities. These events are free, but we encourage you to register now to secure your spot:

- September 7, 2011: Sydney, Australia
- September 12, 2011: Singapore
- September 15, 2011: Hong Kong
- October 4, 2011: Milan, Italy
- October 6, 2011: Madrid, Spain
- October 11, 2011: Beijing, China

As we mentioned in a previous post, we’re excited about expanding the HP webOS App Catalog to four new countries and we look forward to meeting developers there and the other cities we have scheduled in the coming months. We hope to see lots of you soon!

We invite you to register for a webOS workshop, which we’ll be hosting at HP’s Palm campus in Sunnyvale, California on the following dates:

Led by members of the webOS development team, these workshops are designed to help you:

- Get expert guidance on webOS 3.0 development tools and UI/UX
- Test and optimize your apps with TouchPad hardware
- Work on apps and get direct help from the webOS team

We know developers have been working hard to create great apps in time for the HP TouchPad’s summer launch. Now, we want to reward that hard work and support developer efforts with a very special offer, which we’re starting at webOS CONNECT Paris and Berlin. So if you haven’t yet, register for webOS CONNECT – we’re about to give you a big reason why you should be there.

If you’ve been developing a great TouchPad app, come and show us at one of our webOS CONNECT events. We would like to select a number of developers to receive an HP TouchPad when it launches this summer. Last week was a quite a week for webOS developers. We made the webOS 3.0 SDK available in our Early Access program, giving developers a head start on creating apps for TouchPad’s summer launch (get to it!).  We also launched a new and improved HP webOS Developer Center, providing developers with an even better resource for all their webOS efforts. To share the news, we went across the pond and joined an extensive roster of speakers at the webOS CONNECT community event in London.

After announcing the next exciting chapter of webOS at February 9’s Think Beyond event, we took our show on-the-road, hosting a webOS App Developer Conference at Mobile World Congress. The excitement and buzz around webOS and upcoming devices like the HP TouchPad were incredible. We had an awesome time meeting with everyone and hope everyone there had a blast.

If you couldn’t make it to Barcelona, we posted videos from the event to help you re-live all the magic. These sessions include a look at what’s new in webOS, really cool demos with upcoming devices like the Pre 3 and TouchPad, as well as a closer look at Enyo, our next generation application framework.
