Following the HelloWorld instructions for the emulator was easy enough... can someone point me to a reference to show how to install the application on an actual palm rather then the emulator?

Thanks, Ned

I figure I should update my issue... tried to do 'palm-install -d usb -l' on my Ubuntu/Linux box and there were no devices found, regardless of the 'mode' the palm was connected to my computer. (sync, usb device, charge). So I figure that there would be some information somewhere about this, just haven't found it.

An SDK ROM was made available to early access developers, but we haven't included one in this initial public release. We will likely release an SDK ROM again in the future, but for the time being you can go ahead and enable Developer Mode on your device using these steps:

1. In card view or in the Launcher application, type the following:

upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart

The Developer Mode Enabler application icon will appear.

2. Tap the Developer Mode Enabler icon to launch the application.

3. In the application, move the Developer Mode slider to the On position. An alert will appear, prompting you to reset the device.

4. Tap Reset the Device. The device will reset, and Developer Mode will be enabled.

These steps are being added to the SDK docs; sorry for the omission.

NOTE TO PALM PRE TEAM: THIS SHOULD REALLY BE MADE OBVIOUS IN THE DOCS

Noted. A bug has been filed against the docs to get this fixed.

This is all documented on the Command Line Tools page: "palm-install", "Enabling Developer Mode", etc.
