I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I've noticed that with 3.0.4 firmware, after you exit the music player app, it still hangs around in the background.

I discovered this when I was using the bluetooth keyboard. I hit the track skip key without the music player open and music started playing. I then checked with JStop and sure enough the music player app is still around even though there are no cards or dashboard open.

BTW, when the app is in this state the play/pause key doesn't do anything, so this is probably a bug.

I don't know if it was like this in 3.0.2.

Yes, some system applications are marked as "stay alive" so they keep running on the system even if their cards are dismissed. If you need to really kill the application, use the slingshot where you pull the card down and release instead of tossing it upward off the screen.

Staying alive is fine, but at least make it stop responding to the media keys on the keyboard.

it seems that would be the desireable behaviour for most people, tohave it play when they hit a media player button. what drives me nutsis that all the Special keys keep working on the Bluetooth even when the display is off

Well, I think that having the keys work without any sort of visual display is just bad design. Besides, the play/pause key doesn't work only the track forward/reverse.

I get that you may want to keep the app in memory to make it relaunch faster, but when there's no display at all, it shouldn't respond to user input.

if it's just the track buttons, well, then, that's broken.

only slightly related - the special keys on the bluetooth keyboard continue to operate the touchpad, even after you hit the power button to shut the display off. And if you hold down one of the volume buttons, long enough to trigger, say, a hundred repeats, you'll get the Touchpad beeping at you a hundred times to say the volume is at max, or repeatedly displaying the volume indicator, until it's processed all of the repeats.

I've noticed this also, is there a fix?
