I've been getting the too many cards error lately. After monitoring top for a few days I have found that the WebAppMgr process is behaving like a suspect.

On a fresh boot with no apps loaded, the process consumes about 8% of system memory. As I launch and close apps, I can see the memory consumption of the process rise and fall as expected. However, after an uptime of 1 day 16 hours, with no cards open, it is consuming 57% of system memory.

after force killing the process, it restarts with a normal memory footprint.

If there are specific details that would help you diagnose this, please let me know. I have reproduced the issue twice and am willing to collect debug information. I am skilled at capturing linux performance metrics, so if you are interested in sar or slab details please give me the specifics. I would also be willing to provide a self-induced kernel memory dump if needed.

This is the 32GB model on 3.0.2, memory usage was gathered with top.

@error454

Did you maybe also experience a similar behavior like this?

At least that´s how I came across the TMC-error.

it is unclear what workload is hitting the leaky path. I can say that I never use USB storage mode, but I do install 30 to 40 test apps(the same app) on a daily basis while developing.

I am also experiencing memory leaks. I cannot pinpoint the cause. But after 1-3 days of using and developing, the TouchPad pauses every now and then (I guess swapping) and swapped memory is about 20-30 MB. Reboot fixes it.

For anyone experiencing this behavior, please capture the following data points when it occurs. Use the novaterm application to connect to the touchpad, I am assuming folks are familiar with this.

vmstat output
run "vmstat" and capture the output

top output
Run "top"
Press M to sort by memory usage (note, that is a capital M).
Copy the top 3 processes listed

Sample Output
vmstat
Code:
root@Helios:/var/home/root# vmstat

I also noticed this, and it seems LunaSysMgr is the process behind WebAppMgr. The plaintext code of LunaSysMgr shows some things that point to an InterProcess Communicator.

Not sure if this helps, just figured I'd throw in what I found.
